Application
The Emerging Professional and Studio Artist programs are very different from each other. Although the singer’s level, skill set and experience are factors, these may not determine which program is a better fit. No age limit.
If you audition for the Emerging Professional Program, you are automatically considered for the Studio Artist Program as well.
We will be holding auditions in major cities in the US and also accept video submissions (followed by a Zoom interview). After your audition, we will let you know what options we have available for you and will make you an offer.
All our productions are with professional orchestra and are presented in the beautifully renovated Manoukian Performing Arts Center!
Application Deadline
- March 20 for video auditions
- March 20 for live auditions in Los Angeles (by appointment only)
Audition time slots are first-come, first-served. Casting starts immediately following the auditions.
Application Fee
- Studio Artist Program: $39
- Emerging Professional Program: $69
The application fee is non-refundable.
How to Apply
You will need to provide the following information:
- Personal info: name, date of birth, phone number, email address, mailing address and voice type
- References: email address and phone number of two (2) references (music director, stage director, voice teacher, coach, etc.)
- Materials: resume and head shot
- Video Auditions: if you are auditioning by video recording, you can submit the links for your recordings in the application form. If your videos are not ready yet, you can submit the links by email to auditions@angelsvocalart.org until March 17. Please type the subject of the email as: “LastName FirstName Video Auditions.” The requirements are the same for live and video auditions.

Audition Repertoire
Please prepare the following repertoire:
- Emerging Professionals: Five (5) opera arias in a variety of styles and languages
- Studio Artists: Five (5) arias and/or art songs *
* Less experienced singers can still apply as long as they can offer a minimum of 2 contrasting selections: one piece must be in a foreign language and one piece must be an opera aria.
Live Auditions
Audition time slots are first-come, first-served. An accompanist will be provided for all auditions.

Video Auditions
- Video auditions are accepted. Please upload good quality video clips to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.
- Successful candidates will be invited to a Zoom interview.
